Fantastic quality
This is the second E2 Deadbolt I've purchased and it is the best constructed lock I've ever seen. Easy to install and I was also able to buy matching cores so all my locks share a common key.
Didn’t know what to expect since I’m usually a Medeco purchaser. I believe these units ship direct from China so the wait time can exceed 2 weeks. I installed this lock on a fresh door that was not prepped for a deadbolt. Unit itself appears to be top notch in the quality and operation. Upgraded keys are worth it if you’re concerned about people making copies without your knowledge. Dimple keying was a nice touch. The twist to lock function is easy to use and robust. Lockout features are a great addition that I have yet to see on other deadbolts. Highly recommended and will be purchasing again.
bought two. using the gold one now and i love it. customer service was very patient w/my questions and always quick to respond.
It’s well designed and was easy to install. I got the dimple lock, which is harder to pick open, and it came with 5 keys, so most households won’t have to have duplicates made. Because you can lock the door from the outside without a key, make sure to be in the habit of checking that you have your keys on you so that you can unlock it to get back inside. I’d recommend the stainless steel lock over the zinc alloy one, which is stronger and not prone to attacks with a blow torch. I only wish that it came in a polished brass finish.
